BJP takes dig at PDP’s dynastic leadership

BJP state general secretary (organisation) Ashok Kaul today took a jibe at the dynastic leadership of its coalition partner Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“In our state, big parties are in the same state… They are dynastic parties. The party (PDP) with which we have a coalition has become more dynastic,” Kaul said while addressing a ‘Booth Workers’ Sammelan’ at Brakpora in Anantnag district.
Stating that the BJP had “internal democracy,” Kaul said the party did not discriminate against people on the basis of religion or region. “The BJP treats all religions equally that is why the BJP has two Muslim Cabinet ministers in the state. BJP candidates won in Muslim-majority areas of Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban and Kishtwar,” he added.
Kaul also pointed out that PM Narendra Modi on Saturday had paused his speech for ‘Azaan’ during his visit to the new BJP central office after the party’s victory in Tripura.
A party statement said Kaul also paused his speech for ‘Azaan’ heard from a nearby mosque during the function.
He also thanked the cadre for turning up in large numbers to attend party activities despite the prevailing situation in Kashmir. “You are the ambassadors of our party….use the party platform to work for the welfare of all sections of society without any discrimination with region and religion,” Kaul told the workers
